Lesson introduction

The aim of this lesson is to be able to take part in a basic job interview using appropriate language and simple sentence structures.

Learning Objectives
By the end of the lesson, you will be able to:

  • Use key vocabulary related to job interviews
  • Ask and answer basic questions about yourself in an interview setting
  • Use "and" to connect clauses in your answers
  • Write simple sentences with correct punctuation (capital letters and full stops)

Activity 2

Now let's practice the pronunciation with the drilling activity below.

Activity 3: Controlled practice

Firstly, let's write down our keywords and circle them.
Then, let's think about the interview questions.
At last, let's think about the sentences we need to use to answer the questions. Practice the dialogue in pairs.

Activity 4: Roleplay (Freer activity)

As freer activity, you will complete a job interview role play.
Write down the 7 keywords on a paper, to be used as gudance,
Do not write any sentences or questions, as you should not read during the activity. Repeat the activity until you are happy with the outcome.
